The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Foreign Affairs recommends that the Parliament ratifies the Credit Treaty (the Bill "Building of the High-Quality Air Line 750 Rivne Nuclear Power Station - Kyiv") between the Ukraine and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development

It was declared at the Meeting that the aim of the Credit Treaty, that the bill (Re.№0092) recommends to ratify, is to support Ukraine in the increase of the effectiveness, quality and safety of the production and transferring of the electricity to the western and central regions of our country. It will help to supply electricity from the available surplus generating powers in the western regions of Ukraine into Kyiv and surrounding regions.

The bill is also aimed at the lessening of the Ukrainian dependence from the imported fuel. Realization of the principles of the bill will facilitate the joining of Ukrainian energy industry to the Union for the Co-ordination of Transmission of Electricity (UCTE).
